International Refund Policy

We need your help. Many of our programs have waitlists, filled with students waiting to enter our programs. Your immediate notification* to us when circumstances arise that will prevent you from attending Seneca, in your selected semester, is important to you, but you are also helping your fellow students.

By letting us know immediately, prior to classes starting, we can accommodate them by withdrawing/transferring your enrolment and offering them an opportunity to study with us.

Early notification helps everyone!

In accordance with the Ministry of Colleges, Training and Universities, Tuition Fees Operating Procedures, students must submit formal written notification (Withdrawal Form) within 10 business days of the beginning of a semester, to be entitled to a refund of fees for the current term.

Print, sign and fax the Withdrawal Form to: International Admissions

Fax: 416-492-9243 or Fax: 416.493.3958

A refund in full will be paid for any tuition and mandatory ancillary fees paid in advance for subsequent semesters.

Note: International student refunds will be calculated based on the following formula:

Refund = fees paid minus (international student tuition fee) x $100

(tuition fee for Canadian citizens)

Students who submit formal notification of withdrawal from a program of instruction at Seneca College after 10 business days will receive a refund in full of any fees paid in advance for subsequent semesters.

Denial of Study Permit

If immigration authorities at a Canadian Embassy or High Commission Office issue a letter denying the request for a study permit and this letter of denial + Withdrawal Form is submitted to the International Admissions Office within 10 business days of the beginning of a semester, semester one fees less $200.00 will be refunded. (Follow same instructions as above) Fees paid in advance for future semesters will be refunded in full.
